The Dig-Octa system gives you more LED outputs and much more power handling capabilities all built with safety and stability in mind. The Dig-Octa system splits LED driving functions (brainboards) and power distribution and fusing (powerboards) into a modular system allowing you to mix and match exactly what you need for your setup!

The highlights of the Dig-Octa Brainboard-32-8L are 8x local level-shifted LED data channels each with a 249R/33R resistor switcher for driving up to 600LEDs per output or a total of 2000 to 3000 LEDs per brainboard!

It can be run stand-alone or combined with a powerboard! Like the Power-5 or Power-7

Completely reworked board!

    • Moved to 6 layer PCB
    • New DC-DC converter design
    • New QEXP port
      • Comes with included cable to female dupont for wiring up accessories
    • Change Relay port and circuit
      • Uses load-switch now, still 5V trigger out
      • Smaller port with included pigtail cable
    • Reworked level-shifters with ESD and OverVoltage protection
      • No more resistor switcher, adapted circuit to perform well with both
      • Similar to “33R” performance
    • Added “top board” extension header
      • New top boards will be able to provide additional future functionality
        • Think doubled port outputs, integrated Diff-Solo ports, Diff-Adv ports, DMX in/out, etc.
        • Fully stacking and stacking power compatible
    • Changed I2C port
      • Now a Stemma QT/JST SH 1.0mm port
    • Changed Ethernet socket
      • Lip points up now
    • Removed Ethernet power jumper
      • Jumper for SDcard remains (to turn off power to SDcard reader and pull-ups)
    • Added onboard digital PDM microphone
      • Added jumper to disable electrically
    • Changed GPIO layout
      • Allows LED1-8 to work together with I2C and Digital microphone

Known issue: IC failures at 24V (Previous revision)

On the current board revision, a specific IC can fail when powered at 24V. Not all boards are affected and the failure rate is low. For this specific failure only, warranty coverage is extended to 1.5 years — standard warranty terms still apply to everything else.
